Because of the high technical effort and complexity of digitally automated manufacturing systems, people are still in demand who are trained in CNC technology, who plan and perfect suitable solutions and who do not lose sight of the profi tability of the system. This includes many individuals, from the planner to programmer, from the set-up person, the machine operator to the specialist responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair. Their special knowledge and understanding of the interaction are prerequisites to keep the operation of such manufacturing systems always functional and profitable
