Created in 1972 as a merger of the groups Heaven and Biggles, it took its name from the children's street gang from the novel Nova Express by William Burroughs. The music performed by "Heavy Metal Kids" has nothing to do with Heavy Metal ... It has nothing to do with glam and hard rock. The group was the first to be assigned to the new London office of Atlantic Records.
