Geneforge 2: Infestation takes us to the fantasy universe created for the first installment of the series. During the game, we play as one of the so-called Shapers, i.e. wizards capable of bringing various creatures to life. After our mage gets lost in the mountain wilderness, he discovers that rebels are hiding there, ready to fight. It only depends on us whether the wizard decides to support the rebels in battle or whether he will nip the rebellion in the bud. As was the case with the first part of the series, our actions and choices strongly influence the course of the story and its ending. In Geneforge 2: Infestation, we watch the action in an isometric view. The adventure takes us through dozens of different locations, which we travel through, talking to neutral characters, completing tasks and fighting adversaries. The battles take place in turn-based mode, and we can both take part in the battles on our own, using melee and ranged weapons and various combat skills, and summon various creatures to fight for us. On the other hand, there is nothing stopping you from acting quietly, using diplomacy and deception to avoid confrontation or even join the enemy's side. As we progress, we develop our character, acquiring more and more powerful equipment, unlocking new abilities and improving the ones we already have. While working on Geneforge 2: Infestation, the authors slightly refreshed the graphics.
