The story told in the game is based on traditional Yorkshire folklore. Gameplay of Thank Goodness You're Here! is based on two pillars. The first is the exploration of Barnsworth, during which we watch the events in an isometric view. While traveling around the town, we meet its inhabitants and accept various orders from them, including mowing the grass or baking a cake. Over time, the missions become more and more strange, causing our player to experience more and more unique adventures. By completing subsequent tasks, we unlock areas of the town and, as a result, gain access to new characters and further orders.
