The new Samsung LED TVs (Series 7) have a builtin media player based on ffmpeg. You can play movies directly on the TV using DLNA streaming or a USB device. The television has a network jack in the back and you can get it on your local network. This torrent is the manual for the 7000 and 7100 models. You can read the details regarding movie playback on pages 50-54. The supported container and codecs are specified on page 52. The below image details the video playback capabilities of the Series 7 Samsung LED TVs.
