Cocoa Tea is a great reggae singer well appreciated for his smooth melodic approach. Cocoa Tea aka Calvin George Scott was born in 1959 in Kingston, Jamaica. He recorded his first song 'Searching in the Hills' in 1974 without success. In 1983 he met producer Henry 'Junjo' Lawes with who he recorded his first hits 'Rocking Dolly' and 'I lost my Sonia'. Two years later, he released his debut album Wha Them A Go Do ... Can't Stop Cocoa Tea on Lawesâ€™ Volcano label. Then, he worked with the producer King Jammy and notably released the hit 'Who She Love' in 1988 with Shabba Ranks and Home T. Cocoa Tea is a consious artist with serious lyrics. His career moved forward in the 1990â€™s with the release of great tunes such as 'Riker's Island', 'No Blood For Oil', and 'Oil Ting'. He also started his own label, Roaring Lion in 1998 upon which he released several singles by him and different artists. Enjoyy and Seed ....
