Music critic Philip Heseltine trashes almost everything he reviews, but his fury passes all bounds when he is dealing with the music Peter Warlock. The story then takes some strange twists... Both these people existed, but this biography goes into the realm of fiction when portraying some of the stranger aspects. This makes for an intriguing story, but read a biography for the real thing. I find the portrayal of 1920's England has a slightly spooky feel that makes the film rewarding, though not everyone likes it. Music buffs should get a lot out of it, though. I have reseeded this after the old torrent died - please seed generously.
