Mervyn Harmonica Hinds is a Trinidadian who began performing after moving to Canada as a young man. James Cotton persuaded him to try his luck in Chicago in 1973, since when he has been a regular fixture at notable clubs such as Theresa s, the Checkerboard Lounge and Buddy Guy's Legends. Although he has appeared as a sideman on many records his own recorded output before this release was limited to a few self-financed albums this is his first CD for an established label (Wolf Records).
