Pippi Longstocking 1969 Swedish series with original Swedish audio and English subtitles. Also included are the Swedish language versions of the two Pippi movies which continued the series, released in 1970. Unfortunately, no sub files for those, but hopefully I'll find them some day. I don't like dubs, and the fact that I found these subs was basically a miracle. Unfortunately when I got them, the timing was off on all of them, but I fixed them with some online SRT editor, and it took me nearly 2 hours to get all the timing right, so a lot of love and effort was put into this. People, if you wanna sit your kids in front of the TV to watch something, at least make sure what they're watching is actually good, not the modern spastic crack-addled cartoons and Disney shows that are shat out today. Make it Pippi, or Animaniacs, or Gargoyles, or even Breaking Bad or Dexter, anything that's actually WORTH watching. From IMDB: The adventures of Pippi Longstocking, an eccentric, super-strong, redheaded moppet, and her best friends Tommy and Annika, based upon the famous books by Astrid Lindgren. My own personal interpretation: Pippi Longstocking is an existential horror comedy about an elder god with cosmic origins whom decides to make a home for itself on Earth. It readily recognizes the dominant species on our planet, humans, but it lacks the proper context to understand how things work. As such, it sees that there are more what we call children than there are what we call adults, and it sees that adults seem to serve children and take care of them, so it thinks that children are the rulers and assumes an appropriate form to try to blend in, horizontal pigtails notwithstanding. Various darkly comedic hijinks ensue as the eldritch abomination, in the vague shape of a little girl, attempts human interactions and activities with local children, while also occasionally completely defying the laws of known physics, often to the befuddlement of adults
