VH1 Rock Icons (2015) - Season 1 [HDTV 720p - 1080p (x264)] Rock Icons was a 10-episode music biography series about the most legendary artists in the history of rock. It originally aired in 2015 on the now defunct channel VH1 Classic and HD episodes were later shown on Palladia (also no longer a channel). This is the complete season in HD culled from mixed sources (see below). Here is the episode list: S01E01 - Geddy Lee - The Maestro (720p x264) S01E02 - Rob Halford - The Metal God (720p x264) S01E03 - Ted Nugent - The Provocateur (720p x264) S01E04 - Ann Wilson - The Voice (1080p x264) S01E05 - Dave Mustaine - The Fighter (720p x264) S01E06 - Nikki Sixx - The Architect (1080p x264) S01E07 - Slash - The Natural (720p x264) S01E08 - Daryl Hall - The Soul Man (720p x264) S01E09 - Joe Elliott - The Catalyst (720p x264) S01E10 - Billy Corgan - The Outsider (720p x264) Most of the files were download from YouTube at the highest quality possible (720p). Most are HD captures at a decent bitrate (from 1 to 1.5 Mbps). Two of the episodes (Ann Wilson and Nikki Sixx) are my own captures and are higher quality: 1080p and around 5 Mbps. Those two episodes were captured directly from a digital cable box's HDMI output to MPEG4 in 1080i using a Game Capture HD and an HDMI splitter to remove HDCP. HandBrake 1.22 was then used to perform de-interlacing and reduction of the file size (without sacrificing much quality). See mediainfo.txt for complete technical specs of the videos.
