The lineup of musicians for Sundays all-star event also included Ann Wilson, Bob Margolin, Christone Kingfish Ingram, David Hidalgo, Ivan Neville, Jamey Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Little Steven, Robert Cray, Robert Randolph, Shemekia Copeland, Tony TC Coleman, Val B. King, William Bell, and more. The musicians joined Grammy award-winning producer and musical director for the evening, Steve Jordan, who led a house band featuring his John Mayer Trio bandmate Pino Palladino, along with Reverend Charles Hodges, Isaiah Sharkey, and more. The evening was opened by Wavy Gravy, the peace-loving Merry Prankster who, as the legend goes, was given his name by King himself at the Texas International Pop Festival in 1969. From there, the concert treated attendees to renditions of classic Kings well-known collection of songs with Guy, Trucks, Wilson, and more coming together for an emotional The Thrill Is Gone.
