Reid, who was injured in the attack, slowly recovers from his wounds with the help of his childhood friend Tonto (Michael Horse). Soon after his recovery, he captures and tames a shining white stallion and names it Silver. Then, while donning a mask and calling himself the Lone Ranger, he dedicates his life to fighting the crime that Cavendish represents.
